In March 2014 an Australian social networking company approached us to design a new office space in the Philippines. The project had to incorporate a call centre, IT services and sales spaces.
The proposal and selection was driven by a need to keep costs down whilst creating a vibrant and engaging space. Colour was used to create an energetic atmosphere and the open plan layout facilitated discussion and collaboration.
A design project for RSL NSW to develop new interior and exterior design configurations
The project called for a redesign of an existing heritage building into an intimate restaurant.
The Macquarie Centre Ice Rink has been operating for over 30 years and is currently undergoing a major refurbishment in which we were engaged to carry out the design.
Due to the conditions of the rink, durability and resistance to moisture, were important factors to consider when making the selection of the materials and finishes. Our aim was to revitalize all existing areas of the rink by introducing colour and texture into the cold environment.
The works include a new shop front and reception area, reconfigured office spaces, a new gym, a new enclosed café, new fixtures and fittings to all bathrooms, and new wall and floor finishes throughout.
We worked closely with the builder, RBS, to ensure the proposal remained within the budget, and that the documentation requirements from the Macquarie Shopping Center Management were met.
Works are scheduled to start late April of this year.
